At Southern Cross School K-6 we are committed to our community. Students participate in community events and activities such as ANZAC Day, environmental protection, fundraising for various charities and community music events.
Parental and community support for the school is strong and is characterised by a supportive and co-operative home / school relationship. This is demonstrated in many ways - P&C activities, canteen assistance, classroom helpers, sponsorship and community participation in a range of school activities and events.
The Success Shed is available to the community for any worthwhile project that supports our living and learning together. The School's Parents & Citizens Association are interested in making the most use of this shed and invite community participation.
The school's extensive facilities are utilised by various community organisations and sporting teams.
We would like to pay our respects and acknowledge to the the Bundjalung people, the traditional custodians of the land on which we learn and work together and commit to building relationships, respect and opportunities for all Aboriginal people in our community. We pay respect to Elders both past and present.
